       Title: Spiced Christmas Cookies
  Categories: Cookies
       Yield: 19 servings
  
     1/2 c  Butter or regular margarine
     1/2 c  Shortening
   1 1/2 c  Brown sugar; firmly packed
       2 c  Molasses
       2 tb Light cream
            Or dairy half-and-half
       5 c  Flour; sifted
       1 tb Ground cinnamon
   1 1/2 ts Ground ginger
     1/2 ts Ground cloves
  
      Cream together butter and shortening; gradually add sugar, beating until
   light and fluffy. Beat in molasses; blend in cream. Sift together flour,
   cinnamon, ginger, and cloves; stir into creamed mixture. Store in covered
   bowl in refrigerator overnight.
       Roll dough thin, using floured pastry cloth on board and rolling pin.
   Cut in animal shapes. Place 1 to 1 1/2 apart on greased baking sheets.
   Bake in 350 oven 10 to 12 minutes. Remove from baking sheets and cool on
   racks.
