       Title: Biscochitos Sandoval

       Yield: 1 servings
  
       1 lb Lard or vegetable shortening
       1 c  Sugar
       2    Egg yolks
       1 ts Baking powder
       3 c  Flour
     1/4 ts Vanilla
     1/4 ts Anise (liquid)
     1/2 c  Milk
  
       Cream lard or shortening and sugar together.  Beat in egg yolks one at
   a time.  Mix in flour and baking pwder, then flavorings and milk. Roll out
   on floured board and cut in shapes. (the fleur-de-lis is traditional) “Bake
   by smell” Mrs Sandoval says. Try 375 for 10 - 12 minutes or until they are
   golden brown.
