       Title: Drop Sugar Cookies

       Yield: 72 servings
  
       4 c  All-purpose flour
       1 tb Baking powder
     1/2 ts Salt
       1 ts Ground cardamom
            Or freshly grated nutmeg
   1 1/2 c  Unsalted butter; softened
   1 1/2 c  Sugar
       2    Eggs
       2 tb Milk
       2 ts Vanilla
            Sprinkles (optional)
  
      Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix the flour, baking powder, salt, and
   cardamom or nutmeg and set aside. In a bowl beat the butter and sugar until
   light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs, milk, and vanilla. Stir in the flour
   mixture just until blended. Drop by level tablespoonfuls onto 2 lightly
   greased baking sheets. Flattenslightly with a fork. Decorate with
   sprinkles, if desired. Bake 12 to 15 minutes, or until edges are lightly
   browned. Cool on a wire rack. The cookies freeze in an airtight container.
