       Title: Pecan Tassies

     3/4 c  Light brown sugar; firmly
            -packed
     3/4 c  Pecans; chopped
       1    Egg
       1 tb Butter or margarine;
            -softened
       1 ts Vanilla extract
       1 ds Salt
            Tart shells
            Powdered sugar (optional)
            Tart shells:
       1 c  All-purpose flour
       3 oz Cream cheese; softened
     1/4 c  Plus 3 tablespoons butter
            ; softened

   Preparation Time: 0:15
   Combine first 6 ingredients; mix until blended.  Spoon
   mixture into tart shells, filling three-fourths full.  Bake
   at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until browned.  Dust with
   powdered sugar before serving, if desired.  Yield:  2 dozen.
   
   TART SHELLS Combine all ingredients; stir until blended.
   Shape dough into 24 balls; chill.  Place in greased
   1-3/4-inch tart pans, shaping each ball into a shell.
   Yield:  2 dozen.
