       Title: Apple and Honey Scones

       2 c  All-purpose flour
     2/3 c  Wheat germ
       2 ts Baking powder
       1 ts Ground cinnamon
     1/4 ts Baking soda
     1/4 ts Salt
     1/4 ts Ground nutmeg
     1/3 c  Butter or margarine; cold
       1 lg Tart apples; peeled and chop
            -ped
     1/2 c  Milk
     1/4 c  Honey
            Topping
       2 ts Wheat germ
       2 ts Sugar
     1/4 ts Ground cinnamon

   In a large bowl,  combine flour,wheat germ, baking powder, cinnamon,
   baking soda, salt and nutmeg.   Cut in the butter until the mixture
   resembles coarse crumbs.  combine the apple, milk and honey; add to dry
   ingredients just until moistened.  Turn onto a floured surfac, knead
   gently 5-6 times.   Gently patt dough into a 9-in. circle, 1/2 in.
   thick.   Combine topping ingredients; sprinkle over dough.   Cut into
   eight wedges and place on a greased baking sheet.   Bake at 400 degrees
   for 15-18 minutes.
