   Amount  Measure       Ingredient -- Preparation Method

    1 1/2  c.            butter -- softened
      3/4  c.            sugar
    2                    eggs
    2 1/2  c.            flour
      1/2  c.            ground nuts (walnuts, peanuts, anything)
      1/2  tsp.          cinnamon
    1      tbsp.         cocoa
    2      tbsp.         lemon rind
                         Preserves or jam, any flavor
 
  Mix everything together (it’s easiest to use your hands, it comes
  out sort of pastry).  Put 1/2 in greased 9x13 inch cookie sheet. 
  Spread preserves (a thin layer) all over.  Roll out remaining dough
  into strips and criss cross over preserves.  Bake at 350 degrees. 
  Serves 8 to 12.
