                             English Toffee II

   Amount  Measure       Ingredient -- Preparation Method

    1      cup           butter (no substitute)
    1      cup           sugar
      1/2  tsp           vanilla
      1/4  tsp           salt
    4      oz            melted chocolate
      1/2  cup           chopped nuts
 
 Over medium heat, cook the first four ingredients for 5 - 7 minutes, until
 nut brown.  Stir almost constantly.
 
 Pour into a foil-lined pan and spread with melted chocolate then sprinkle
 with nuts.  Cool and break into pieces.
