MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.04
       Title: Trifle

       Yield: 10 Servings
     1/2 c  Marsala wine
       1 pk (6-oz) Jello
       2 c  Fruit
       2 pk Instant custard
            Whipped cream
 MMMMM-------------------BEAT FOR WHIPPED CREAM------------------------
       1 c  Whipping cream
       1 ts Vanilla
       1 ts Confectioners sugar
   Place a layer of ladyfingers at the bottom of a trifle dish, and cover
   with the marsala wine.  Prepare jello with 1/2 c less water than the
   directions call for.   Pour gently over the ladyfingers.  Add fruit,
   and chill overnight.
   Prepare custard, and allow to cool.  Pour custard into trifle dish,
   and top with whipped cream.

   This can be served right away, but Neil likes it to chill for an
   additional couple of hours after the custard and whipped cream is
   Neil’s Mom uses red jello, fruit cocktail, and fresh whipped cream.
   06/07/96 Made it using a 3-oz pk of Berry Blue Jello and a 3-oz pk of
   Raspberry Jello, fresh strawberries and frozen raspberries, leaving
   some fruit for garnish.
   Notes from the Chef:
   “Here’s a desert that is sitting in the fridge, waiting to be taken to
   my parents' house this afternoon.  I got the recipe verbally from
   Neil’s Mom.  I filled in the quantities later on in the recipe since
   it was kind of vague.  It looks good, although I think I overdid the
   fruit.  I had already used about 4 cups in there, when Neil told me
   that his mother usually just uses a can of fruit coctail (which is
   more like 2 cups).” - Lisa
