                        Rice and Black Bean Tostadas

    4                    tostada shells
   15      ounces        black beans, canned -- rinsed and drained
      1/4  cup           vegetable broth
    2      tablespoons   chopped green chiles
      1/2  teaspoon      ground cumin
      1/2  teaspoon      garlic powder
      1/4  teaspoon      salt
    2      cups          hot cooked yellow rice
 
                         Condiments:
                         shredded lettuce
                         chopped tomatoes
                         chopped onions
                         black olives
                         salsa
 
 Combine black beans and next 5 ingredients in a small saucepan; cook over
 medium heat until thoroughly heated. Spoon rice evenly over tortillas; top
 with bean mixture using a slotted spoon.  Serve with desired condiments.
