       Title: SPICY SPINACH
  Categories: Main dish, Indian, Vegetarian
       Yield: 6 servings
  
       3 lb Chopped fresh spinach
       3 md Turnips, cubed
       2 c  Water
     1/4 c  Ghee
       1 tb Black mustard seeds
       1 lg Onion, chopepd
       6    Garlic cloves, chopped
       1    1 piece ginger, chopped
       1 ts Turmeric
     1/2 ts Red chilies
       1 tb Garam masala
            Salt
  
   Boil spinach & turnips in water for 12 to 15 minutes.
   remove & set in a bowl.  Mash with a fork.  Rinse the
   pot & heat the ghee. Add mustard seeds & a few seconds
   later add the onion, garlic & ginger. Cook til lthe
   onion is browned.  Add turmeric, chili, garam masala &
   salt. Stir in the mashed vegetables.  Cover & simmer
   for 5 minutes until all the liquid has evaporated,
   stirring occasionally.  Serve.
