                                Spanish Rice

      1/2  pound         bacon
    3                    onions -- sliced
    2                    green peppers -- sliced
    3      cups          fresh or canned tomatoes
    2      cups          cooked rice
    1      teaspoon      salt
                         pepper
 
 Fry the bacon in a skillet until crisp, remove it from the fat, and break it in
 to small pieces.  Cook the onions and green pepper in the fat for 5 minutes, ad
 d the tomatoes and simmer for 10 minutes, stir in the cooked rice carefully so 
 as not to break the grains, add the bits of bacon, and when heated through, ser
 ve at once.
