   Amount  Measure       Ingredient -- Preparation Method

      1/4  cup           margarine
    1      cup           rice, uncooked
      1/2  tablespoon    fresh oregano -- minced
      1/4  cup           green onions with tops -- sliced
    6      ounces        mushrooms, canned -- sliced
      3/4  cup           water
   10 3/4  ounces        beef consomme
                         --OR 2 bouillon cubes and 1 1/3 c. water
 
 Melt margarine in covered baking dish. Add rice, oregano and onion tops. Let st
 and for 1 hour. Add mushrooms, water and consomme. Bake, covered, at 350 degree
 s for 50 minutes.

 NOTES : For larger quantity, use an additional 2 T. margarine, 1/2 c. rice, 8 o
 z. can of mushrooms and liquid to measure 3 cups.
