                         VEGETABLES ORIENTAL STYLE

    4      stalks        celery
    1      bunch         broccoli, floweres trimmed, stems peeled
                         and reserved
    2                    onions, halved
   12                    mushrooms
      1/4  cup           peanut or vegetable oil
    1      clove         garlic, minced
    1      tablespoon    sherry
      1/4  teaspoon      ground ginger
    1      tablespoon    soy sauce
 
 Assemble and attach rotor slicer/shredder using thick slicer cone (no 3).
 Turn to speed 4 and slice celery, broccoli stems, onions, and mushrooms,
 keeping each separate.
 
 Heat half of oil in a 12-inch skillet or wok over medium high heat.  Add
 celery, onions, and garlic and stir-fry 1 minute.  Add sherry and cook 30
 seconds.  Remove from pan.
 
 Heat remaining oil in pan.  Add sliced broccoli stems and stir fry until not
 quite tender, about 2 minutes.  Add mushrooms and stir-fry 1 minute.
 
 Return celery, onions, and garlic to pan.  Stir fry until hot.  Season with
 ground ginger and soy sauce and serve immediately.
