       1 c  flour
     2/3 c  yellow cornmeal
       2 t  sugar
       1 t  baking powder
     1/2 t  salt
       1 ea egg
     3/4 c  milk
       2 t  corn oil
      16 oz cocktail wieners
            peanut oil
 
 combine flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a mixing bowl
 in another bowl, combine egg, milk, and 2 tablespoons oil
 add to flour mixture, stir to mix well
 heat oil to 375 degrees
 dip wieners in batter allowing excess to drip off
 add to hot oil in small batches
 fry for 1-1/2 to 2 minutes, until golden
 drain on a cooling rack and blot with paper towels
 serve warm, with prepared mustard to the side
