                                  Bowknots

    1      loaf          sandwich bread -- thin sliced
    1      can           cream of mushroom soup
   12      strips               bacon -- halved
 
 Trim all crust off bread. Spread soup on one side of bread slices, being carefu
 l to cover edges. Roll each slice from one corner to opposite corner. Wrap half
  bacon strip around middle. Secure with toothpick. Place on cookie sheet and ba
 ke at 250 degrees for 1 hour. Bowknots will be dry and crisp and very delicious
 . Prepared bowknots can be frozen before baking. Place on flat pan and when fro
 zen solid transfer to freezer bags. Bake without thawing.
