                           Spicy Spaghetti Sauce

    1 1/2  lbs           lean ground beef
    1      lbs           HOT Italian sausage -- removed from skin
    1      can           Chief Boy-ar-de spaghetti sauce
   19      oz            water
    1      large         onion -- chopped fine
    2      cloves        garlic -- chopped fine
    4      oz            sliced mushrooms -- UNdrained
    2      tablespoons   Italian Seasoning
    2      tablespoons   Spaghetti Sauce Seasoning
           to taste      salt and pepper
    1      can           tomato sauce -- 8 oz.
    1      can           tomato paste -- 6 oz.
 
 Fry sausage and onion on medium high heat.  Drain and set aside.  Fry beef, sal
 t and pepper, and garlic.  Drain.  Return beef mixture to pan.   Add sausage an
 d onion mixture to beef mixture.  Add Chief Boy-ar-de, tomato sauce, tomato pas
 te, and some of the water with each addition, stirring well.  Add the mushrooms
  with their liquid.  Salt and pepper again.  Add Italian Seasoning and Spaghett
 i Sauce Seasoning (both Spice Islands brand).  Stir until completely mixed.  Br
 ing to a boil, then simmer at least 2 hrs. UNCOVERED.  The longer it cooks, the
  better.  Best if made the day before serving.
