                                 Fruit Cake

    1      Small Can     crushed pineapple
    1      Small Can     black walnuts
      1/2  C.            English walnuts
    1      Can           sour cherries
    1      Pt.           cooked apples
    5                    egg yolks
      3/4  C.            pecans
      1/2  Box           seedless raisins
    2 1/2  C.            flour
    3      C.            sugar
    2                    oranges
      1/2  C.            buttermilk
    1      Tsp.          baking soda
    1      Tsp.          salt
    2      Tbsp.         melted butter
                         Filling For Fruit Cake:
    2      Small         or 1 large coconut
                          -- (save juice)
    3                    oranges
    1      Tsp.          vanilla
    2      C.            sugar
      1/2  Stick         margarine
                         nuts
                         cherries
 
 Sift flour and sugar, add apples, pineapple, raisins and
 the nuts. Grind oranges and cherries and add to mixture. Add
 butter, eggs, buttermilk, salt, soda and beat until very
 smooth. Blend in with other mixture. (If mixture is too thin,
 add a little more flour.) Pour into 3 greased and floured
 10-inch cake pans. (Fill about 1/2 full.) Bake at 300 degrees until
 done.
 
 Filling For Fruit Cake:
 
 Grind oranges and coconut. Add sugar and vanilla, add
 3/4 cup coconut milk. Put in a boiler, bring to a boil and
 boil until thick. Put on cake and top with nuts and cherries.
