---------- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05 Title: Applesauce Prune Cake Categories: Cakes Yield: 1 Servings 1/2 c Margarine 1 c Sugar 1 Egg 1 2/3 c All-purpose flour 1 ts Baking powder 1 ts Baking soda 2 ts Ground cinnamon 3/4 ts Allspice 1 c Dried prunes; chopped 1/2 c Nuts; chopped 1 c Applesauce 2 tb Powdered sugar; for topping Recipe by: Jo Anne Merrill Preparation Time: 1:15 1. Beat margarine and sugar until light and creamy. Beat in egg. 2. Sift dry ingredients together. Add 1/2 teaspoon salt if desired. Add prunes and nuts to dry mixture, then add this mixture to batter. Blend in applesauce. 3. Bake in a greased 9-cup Bundt pan in a 350-degree oven for 1 hour or until tests done. 4. Let cool on rack in pan for 10 minutes before turning out of pan. Sprinkle with sifted powdered sugar. Especially pretty when sifted through a paper doily with a decorative design cut into it. I prefer to bake this in a tube pan, shorten cooking time about 5 minutes. ----- Plain Text Version of This Recipe for Printing or Saving | |
