       Title: Nut Gingerbread

       Yield: 6 servings
  
   1 1/2 c  Brown sugar                     1 1/2 tb Brown sugar
     1/2 c  Molasses                            1 c  Sweet milk
     1/4 c  Melted butter or butter             2 c  Flour
            -substitute                         1 ts Ginger
       1    Egg, well beaten                    1 ts Baking soda
     1/2 ts Salt                                3 tb Chopped nuts
  
   Sift flour, measure, and sift with baking soda, salt, and ginger. Combine 1
   1/2 cups brown sugar, molasses, butter, and eggs.  Add dry ingredients
   alternately with milk to sugar and molasses mixture. Beat until well
   blended.  Pour into well-oiled baking pan. Sprinkle with nuts and 1 1/2
   tablespoons brown sugar.  Bake in moderate oven (375ø F) about 30 minutes.
