* Exported from MasterCook * Cream Puff Cake Recipe By :unknown Serving Size : 12 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Desserts Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 cup water 1 stick butter 1 cup flour 4 eggs 2 small boxes instant vanilla pudding 3 cups milk 1 package cream cheese (8 ounce) -- softened 1 container Cool Whip (8 ounce) chocolate syrup or hot fudge sauce In medium saucepan combine water and butter. Bring to a boil; cook and stir until butter is melted. Add flour and cook, stirring constantly, until mixture leaves the sides of the pan and gathers into a ball. Remove from heat. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition with an electric mixer. Pour batter into well-greased 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake at 400F for 15 minutes, lower temperature to 350F, and bake an additional 15 minutes. Cool completely. Combine pudding mix, milk, and cream cheese; beat until well-blended. Pour over cream puff layer and refrigerate until pudding is set. Top with Cool Whip. Just before serving, drizzle each piece with chocolate syrup or hot fudge sauce.
