                                Funnel Cakes

    2                    eggs
    1 1/3  cups          milk
    2 2/3  cups          flour
    4      tablespoons   sugar
    2      teaspoons     baking soda
    1      teaspoon      salt
                         Oil -- for frying
                         Powdered sugar and cinnamon -- for topping
 
 Beat eggs with milk.  Sift flour with sugar;  add baking soda and
 salt. Combine dry ingredients with milk-egg mixture and beat until
 smooth. Holding finger over bottom of funnel, pour some batter into
 funnel. Remove finger and let batter drop into hot oil, about 375F,
 swirling it into concentric circles from the center out.
 
 Fry until golden, turning once.  Sprinkle with powdered sugar and
 cinnamon.
