                            Caramel  Apple Crisp

    2      c             apples -- sliced
                         ---cinnamon and sugar---
                         -----TOPPING-----
    2       c            oatmeal (regular)
    1      c             butter or margarine
      1/2  ts            cinnamon
      1/2  ts            baking soda
    1                    Caramel topping
    1      tb            lemon juice
    1 3/4  c             flour
    1      c             brown sugar -- packed
      3/4  ts            salt
    1       d            nutmeg (optional)
 
   Mix apples with lemon juice, cinnamon and sugar--like making an apple pie.  
 Combine topping, put on top of apples and bake in 9 x 13 inch pan at 375  
 degrees for 30 minutes or until apples are done. Take out of oven and pour a 
 jar of caramel topping over all.
