---------- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05 Title: Banana Split Brownie Pizza Categories: Cakes, Chocolate Yield: 12 servings 3/4 c Shortening; melted 1/4 c Butter or margarine; melted 3/4 c Baking cocoa 2 c Sugar 4 Eggs; beaten 1 ts Vanilla extract 1 1/2 c All-purpose flour 1 ts Baking powder 1/2 ts Salt Topping: 16 oz Cream cheese; softened 2/3 c Sugar 8 oz Pineapple tidbits 1 Ripe banana; sliced 1 c Fresh strawberries, halved Or more 1/4 c Chopped pecans; toasted 1 oz Semisweet chocolate 1 tb Butter or margarine Recipe by: COUNTRY WOMAN MAGAZINE - JULY/AUGUST 19 In a large bowl, combine shortening, butter and cocoa. Stir in sugar, eggs and vanilla. Combine flour, baking powder and salt; stir into egg mixture. Spread evenly over a well-greased 12″ to 14″ pizza pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 min. cool. In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth; spread over brownie crust. Drain the pineapple, reserving juice; dip banana slices in juice (then discard the juice). Arrange bananas, pineapple and strawberries over cream cheese layer; sprinkle with pecans. In a small saucepan over low heat, melt chocolate and butter; drizzle over top of pizza. Chill for 1 hour.
