                            Cherries A La Belle

    1      cup           butter -- melted
   20      ounces        pineapple -- crushed with juice
   20      ounces        cherries -- tart with juice
   18                    and one-half ounce lemon cake mix -- (not pudding
 mix!)
                         one-half cup pecan halves -- chopped
    1                    lemon rind
 
 1.  Dump cans of pineapple and tart baking cherries into a 9″ x 13″ greased
 baking pan.  2.  Sprinkle the box of cake mix on top of the fruit.  DO NOT
 MIX.  3.  Pour melted butter over the top of the mix and sprinkle nuts and
 lemon rind over finished pan.  4.  Bake in 350F oven for 50 minutes.  Serve
 hot with heavy cream.
