                            Baked Devil’s Float

                          -- <DOUGH>
    1      C             Flour
      1/2  Tsp           Salt -- inches long
    2      Tsp           Baking Powder
      3/4  C             Granulated Sugar
    1      Square        Unsweetened Chocolate -- melted
      1/2  C             Milk
    1      Tsp           Vanilla
      1/2  C             Chopped Pecans
                          -- <TOPPING>
      1/2  C             Granulated Sugar
      1/2  C             Brown Sugar
    2      tbsp          Cocoa
    1      C             Boiling Water
 
 FOR THE DOUGH:
 
 Sift together flour, salt, baking powder, and sugar.  Add milk and
 chocolate and mix well.  Add vanilla and nuts.  Put in greased 9-inch
 baking dish.
 
 FOR THE TOPPING:
 
 Sift dry ingredients together and sprinkle over dough in pan.  Pour 1
 cup boiling water over top and bake at 350° for 45 minutes  until crust
 forms on top.  Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream on top.
