       Yield: 1 Servings
       1    8oz. can almond paste
       2    Egg whites; unbeaten
       4 c  Powdered sugar
     1/2 ts Rum flavoring
            (or real rum)
   Here’s a recipe that I use to make candy (fruit).
   Break almond paste into small pieces and place in large bowl. Add egg
   whites and rum flavoring and mix well. Add sugar one cup at a time.
   Continue kneading until smooth and the consistency of heavy pie dough. Add
   more sugar if needed (mixture too sticky) Add some corn syrup if too dry.
   Use dough hook if using mixer. Glaze (for coating candies) 1/2 cup corn
   syrup 1 tb water Apply as glaze and let dry 2 days. Marzipan keeps for
