                                  Blondies

   Amount  Measure       Ingredient -- Preparation Method

      1/2  C             Margarine
      1/2  C             Dark Brown Sugar -- firmly packed
      1/2  C             Granulated Sugar
    2                    Eggs
    1      C             Flour
      1/4  Tsp           Salt
      1/2  Tsp           Baking Powder
      1/2  C             Chopped Nuts
      1/2  tsp           Vanilla
                         Powdered Sugar
 
 Thoroughly cream margarine with brown sugar and granulated sugar.  Add eggs.
 Beat well.  Sift together flour, salt and baking powder.  Mix into creamed
 mixture.  Stir in nuts and vanilla.  Spoon Mixture into greased 8 square
 pan.  Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes.  Cut into squares and sprinkle with
 powdered sugar.
