                       Chocolate Chip Applesauce Cake

      1/2  cup           margarine -- or applesauce
    1 1/2  cups          sugar
    2                    eggs
    3      tablespoons   cocoa
    2      cups          flour
    1 1/2  teaspoons     baking soda
      1/2  teaspoon      cinnamon
    1 1/2  cups          applesauce, unsweetened
      3/4  cup           chocolate chips
                         TOPPING
    2      tablespoons   sugar
    1      cup           nuts -- chopped - opt.
      1/2  cup           chocolate chips
    1      teaspoon      cinnamon
 
 Mix cake ingredients as usual.  Put into greased 9"x13″ pan.  Mix topping ings.
 and sprinkle over.  Bake about 40 Min. at 350F.
