     1/4 c  unsalted butter
     1/8 t  kosher salt
       2 oz unsweetened chocolate
     3/4 c  half and half
       1 c  sugar
     1/2 t  vanilla
     1/8 t  almond extract
     1/2 t  blanched almonds
 
 combine butter and chocolate in a bowl 
 set over hot water and stir until melted 
 remove from heat
 stir in sugar, until dissolved 
 gradually stir in salt and cream 
 set over hot water and stir until thoroughly blended remove from heat 
 stir in vanilla, almond extract, and almonds
 serve warm, slightly chilled, or at room temperature
