---------- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05 Title: Chocolate Cherry Cake Categories: Cakes, Chocolate Yield: 1 servings 1 pk Chocolate cake mix; 18 oz 2 Eggs Canned cherries; 21 oz 1 ts Almond extract Icing: 1 c Sugar 5 tb Butter or margarine 1/3 c Milk 1 c Chocolate chips Grease and flour a 9 x 13″ cake pan. Turn on oven to 350 degrees. Combine cake mix, cherry filling, eggs, and almond extract. Stir all the ingredients together until very well blended. This is thicker than a regular cake batter. Spread in the cake pan. Bake for about 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Meanwhile, combine frosting ingredients, except chips, in a saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly until it comes to a boil. Continue cooking and stirring for one more minute. Remove from heat and stir in the chocolate chips until they are all melted. Spread warm frosting on the warm cake. Frosting thickens as it cools.
